Spin The Wheel › Guides › Spinning wheel odds: the chance for each slice

With N equal slices, each spin gives every entry a 1 in N chance. Over k spins with the winner left on the wheel, the chance an entry is picked at least once is 1 − (1 − 1/N)k.

If you remove each winner (the “remove name” option), the odds change after every spin: the next spin is 1 in N−1, then 1 in N−2, and so on.
Adding a name twice doubles its share of the wheel. Use this on purpose for weighted draws, and check your list for accidental duplicates.
